The Women’s Fund Miami-Dade
On behalf of The Women’s Fund Miami-Dade, our board of directors, and the women and girls in our community who benefit from generous donations from Impact Deposit Corp.’s Charity Services Centers, I want to thank you for your continued support.
Charity Services Centers’ donations have allowed us to convene and coordinate working groups to effect social and economic change, and advance the status of women, particularly through the Equal Pay Miami-Dade initiative.
Support from the Charity Services Center resulted in various stakeholder groups coming together to identify approaches to achieving equal pay, including research and recommendations to implement the Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women {CEDAW) in Miami-Dade County. The Women’s Fund worked in collaboration with the Miami-Dade County Commission For Women and under the leadership of Commissioner Daniella Levine Cava, who sponsored the CEDAW resolution that was adopted by the Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners. We have been able to create community awareness and education around the issue of equal pay, as well as developing toolkits for corporations and county vendors related to equal pay. We have also
developed an online Sign the Equal Pay Pledge capability on our website.
Funding from the Charity Services Centers was effectively seed funding that helped The Women’s Fund Miami-Dade to embark on the Equal Pay Miami-Dade campaign, which has subsequently won community awards and continues to be a key initiative in collaboration with County partners.
Once again, thank you for your enormous contribution to The Women’s Fund Miami-Dade fight for equal pay. We look forward to continue working together for a world where power and possibility are not limited by gender.
Sincerely,
Kathy Andersen
Executive Director
